First - The DJ Firm was incredible to work with leading up to the big day and during. Incredibly professional and truly captured our vision for the biggest day day of our lives. Second - There are literally no words to describe DJ Heavy and his performance that evening. We are soooooo happy to have chosen him as our DJ and lucky enough to dance the night away with his incredible DJ skills and being able to understand the vibe of the crowd. Our wedding was black tie and he came in looking fresh with a suit and very professional. He did a great job with the timeline of the event and his suggestions for when certain ‘moments’ should occur made the flow seamless. The music played during dinner... I mean.. I can’t even tell you how many people asked about that music. IT WAS A HUGE HIT - and that’s putting it mildly. We still have people asking about the music during dinner. Lastly, I was incredibly nervous about how to get people on the dance floor. DJ Heavy truly knows how to gauge the vibe of the crowd and get people up and moving without forcefully having to say ‘get up and dance’ - everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was up and dancing. Our friends, family and loved ones had such a great time and it was all because of DJ Heavy. Our wedding venue was downtown Chicago on an open rooftop. It literally became a rooftop dance party soon as DJ Heavy started playing. There aren’t enough words to describe how much fun we had. Thank you DJ Heavy and everyone at the DJ FIRM!

“I’m a perfectionist. When it comes to mixing music I study the crowd. It’s not only about picking the right song, but mixing it the right way. I want to make it seamless, flawless.”

As a child with a solid musical foundation built from the stacks on stacks of records in his father’s collection, DJ Heavy was captivated by the weekend DJs in Philadelphia. Mix show DJs such as Cosmic Kev, Doc B, Jazzy Jeff, and DJ AM ignited the spark he needed to craft his own style and sound, and the mix show DJ in Heavy did not disappoint. In 2009 DJ Heavy’s talents led him to join Clear Channel’s WSNX 104.5 Mixin’ Mafia team. “I’m not about slamming tracks, but striving to keep ‘mixing’ alive.” Heavy’s video DJ-ing also sets him apart from the rest—he is recognized not only for playing but also creating and editing his own music videos.
