I was born in Boston. I’m originally from New York/New Jersey. I went to Drexel University in Philly and then moved to Chicago for The DJ Firm, but mostly to spend time with Sye Young.
I met Sye Young in Cancun on spring break. I took his business card and then kicked him out of the DJ booth.
I was an artist as a kid, but wanted to go into music instead.
Juice by Lizzo is my shit right now.
I know more about hip hop than Eric Sampson.
I hate country music, but will play it if it’s required.
My first DJ gig was family fun night at a gospel church.
My worst DJ gig was in a utility cellar in a dusty basement of a Japanese restaurant, there was one light bulb hanging from the ceiling. They ran speakers from the basement to the restaurant, so I was by myself. I DJ’d for five hours and made $75.
Now, I run a sister company called On Deck DJs.
The name DJ Daily comes from my old roommates. My roommates never saw me because I was working all the time. They would say, you DJ every day, you’re like DJ Daily. It just stuck!
I took French for 12 years, I can speak it a little bit.
I was always the class clown in school.
I played every sport, but I was terrible at everything except basketball.
I hate tomatoes, but I love everything made from tomatoes.
Lobster and pizza are my favorite foods, Paulie Gee’s is the best in Chicago and deep dish is trash.
I’m addicted to sour candy and Call of Duty.
I once went to a goldfish party. The tradition was you had to swallow a live goldfish while there and I did it.
My favorite movie is Home Alone.
Martinique was the best vacation I’ve ever been on and I DJ spring break every year on different islands.
People say my catch phrase is, “follow your heart,” but you can also go follow @ondeckdjs!

The DJ Firm is lucky to have the talents of DJ Kid Clay on our team. Not only does he leave a lasting impression on the Chicago nightlife scene, but he can regularly be found rocking private events for corporations such as; the Chicago Cubs and Nike. Kid Clay understands that "you can never stop learning when it comes to your craft and that being just good; isn't good enough." We invite you to explore some of his work through his exclusive mixes-rock with Clay!
The Underground Chicago is one of the city's most exclusive hot-spots in the nightlife scene. The collaboration between our DJ's and Underground started way before The DJ Firm even existed. Many of our Chicago-based DJ's have rocked Underground dating all the way back to 2006! This venue has always been a favorite of ours; mostly because of the energetic crowds, good vibes and the warm chocolate-chip cookies served late-night. Most recently we had an opportunity to collaborate with Underground in a different way; providing mixtapes made from scratch by our DJ's to showcase on Underground's weekly podcast. If you're looking for some mixes to motivate your work-out, get you through rush-hour or start your weekend--look no further!
